As you cannot view my website and consequently my semester 1 flash video. i have uploaded the video here so you can watch it. The video was made using Adobe Flash CS4. I created all the graphics in Adobe Photoshop CS4. i got the soundtrack off of a website i found through google.
I thought it would be a good idea to put some contact links on the home page. Linking the user to my Facebook page, the semester one video i made on youtube and this blog! i got the logos from google images and i resized them in photoshop. I then imported them onto the dreamweaver library, dragged them onto the homepage and simply linked them to their respective places. http://www.ctr-iow.org.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/youtube_icon.png http://www.bloggingpro.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/blogger_logo.png http://blogs.trb.com/community/news/fort_lauderdale/forum/facebook_logo.png
After creating my website i thought that an intro page would be better. After researching and looking at other websites i realised that an intro page is quite common and looks quite stylish in my opinion anyway. One website i looked at was the Pacha London website. You can see from the screen shot below it is similar to mine in the way that it is quite simplistic, just the brand logo and a link to the webpage below. i pretty much based my intro page on this. I created it again using photoshop. I used a plastic wrap filter on the writing to give it the shine, i made it in yellow and red and then made a rollover image within dreamweaver to give it some interactivity. http://www.pachalondon.com/

My "making of" page gave me some problems because i wasn't sure how to present it as i had a lot of different images representing different things, for example my screenshots of the 3D Model i created. I thought that they couldn't all fit on one page because it would be too confusing and messy looking. So i decided to make 3 different buttons to link to each category. One for the 3D Model, another for the Promotional product and one last button for the rollover buttons i created. I created these buttons how i created the ones on the main page. I went into photoshop used the same dimensions i used for the previous buttons, i took and image that was relevant to the category and edited it. For instance the promotional product has an outer glow and the rollover buttons was a screen shot of the original buttons but rotated to the left slightly. I then put in the same font i have used throughout the website.
Moving on to the 3D Model page. After creating my model in 3DS Max, i saved out many renders as jpegs. I first tried to drag all the files into the actual dreamweaver page. However this did not work, so put them into photoshop and resized them all the same. I then created a table within dreamweaver and simply dragged in the pictures. Next i had to create a new dreamweaver html page for each of these pictures displayed, so the user can zoom in for a better view. This was simply done by dragging the original picture onto a blank html document and then linking all the thumbnails i created to their respected images.

After finishing the homepage i had to move on to importing my flash game that i had made in Adobe Flash CS4. This was simple, all i did was import the swf file into the dreamweaver library and then drag on to the page. The one problem i had with this is the white panels that appear above the game, i think it takes away from the visual appeal of the website!

After creating my first page, the home page. I had to create something to populate it. I thought that an advertisement for my promotional product would be the perfect thing! So i took a few pictures of my promotional product with my blackberry and put into Photoshop where i cut out the background and put the same font writing as the rest of my website, with a red outer glow!
I started off by making the template for my website in photoshop! Then i imported it into dreamweaver as a tracing image. Doing this gave me a scaffolding to work on and really just simplified everything for me!
